What is a petition?
A petition is a request to do something addressed to the local authorities in writing by one or more residents. It is reviewed and processed by committees concerned or by plenary session.
What is a complaint?
It's a statement that a situation is unsatisfactory or unacceptable, requesting the local authorities for corrective action. It can be in any forms including letter of recommendation, petition, letter of resolution, letter of plea, etc. It can be submitted by mail, internet, fax or by a visit. It doesn't have to be in any specific form.

- Review of petition by appropriate committee
- Review by Council's plenary session
Resolution by Council's plenary session
- If it's required to be handled by district mayor, the council sends the petition to the mayor with opinions attached.
- The council notifies the petitioner of the action.
