Council Role
The council is composed of councilors elected by the district's residents. On behalf of the residents, the councilors review and approve budget and settlement plans, and process petition and complaint. They also enact, revise and abolish ordinances within the scope of relevant laws and statutes. They are also responsible for the role of watchdog by conducting administrative audit and investigation on the executive branch of the district government. Largely, the district council has 3 responsibilities of representing the will of residents, performing legislative activities and monitoring the executive branch.
